The Emerald Canyon Golf Course north of Parker is still open, but they are taking precautions to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

La Paz County’s Emerald Canyon Golf Course is still open, and the 24th Annual Parker Open is still planned for April 24-26.

On their Facebook page and the course website, the staff said the course is still open, but they are taking precautions regarding the spread of the coronavirus. These involve sanitizing carts after use, covering ball washers, and practicing proper social distancing. They are also requesting people not remove flags from the holes and to not come to the course if they aren’t feeling well or have a cough.

For the time being, there will be no eating in the snack bar area. Food and drink orders can be called in for pick-up.

The Parker Open is still set for April 24-26, but the BlueWater Resort & Casino is no longer a sponsor. The tournament organizers have made arrangements with the Quality Inn, Best Western and Hampton Inn hotels for special room rates.

The Emerald Canyon Golf Course is located north of Parker on Riverside Drive, across the road from County Park. For more information, call 928-667-3366.
