The Bill Chrismer Memorial Golf Tournament has been cancelled for 2020. The Poston Rotary Club, which sponsors the event, made the decision March 23 to cancel the tournament, which was set for April 4 at the Emerald Canyon Golf Course north of Parker.

The tournament was a fundraiser for Poston Rotary for scholarships for local students. This was to have been the 30th of these tournaments.

There is no word as to whether the event will be rescheduled.

The 2019 tournament saw a large number of participants and resulted in a tie for first place. The quartet of Ron Winkle, Jose Becerra, Clark Daniels and Anthony Holt tied with Mike Sanders, Ryan Sanders, Joseph Agredano and Chris Stulce for the lead. Coming in third place was the team consisting of Frank Bowne, Mark Brantl, Jim Jones and Rusty Moomey

The awards for the longest Drive and closest to the Pin from men over 70 went to Jerry Hooper. For men under 70, Ron Winkle was the closest to the pin and Austin Tillima had the longest drive. The longest drive for women was made by Natalie McCoy.
