Ollie Martin

Former Parker Bronc and CRIT Tribal Member Ollie Martin signed a letter of intent June 27 with Palo Verde College in Blythe Calif.  On hand for the ceremony were (from left) PVC Women’s Basketball Coach Joe Alvarez, Ollie Martin, Curtis Martin JR (Father), Monique Booth (Mother).

Former Parker Broncs basketball player Ollie Martin has signed a letter of intent to play for women’s basketball for Palo Verde College in Blythe, Calif. Martin is a member of the Colorado River Indian Tribes.

On June 27, 2019 the CRIT Special Diabetes Project-Recreation Program hosted the Letter of Intent Signing Ceremony for Martin at Irataba Hall. Martin graduated this spring from Sherman Indian High School in Riverside, Calif. The signing was conducted in front of her family, friends, teammates and fellow CRIT Tribal Members.

Martin played her freshman through junior years at Parker High School. In 2018, she was named the 2A West Player of the Year and was named to the all-region first team.

The CRIT Special Diabetes Project issued this statement:  “The CRIT SDP-REC Program would like to wish Ollie Martin success and well wishes as she continues her basketball career with the PVC Pirates.”
