The annual Flog Tournament was held July 13 at the Emerald Canyon Golf Course. A total of 32 teams signed up. Flog (which is ‘golf’ spelled backwards) is golf played with baseball bats. The sound of bats cracking against golf balls could be heard all around the course as the players’ teams competed against each other.

The tournament is done with a sense of fun, and everyone is encouraged not to take it too seriously. Many of the teams had comical names, as well as “uniforms” that showed the tongue-in-cheek nature of the event.

The event was a fundraiser for local charities organized by KLPZ Radio.
