The Evander Page Memorial Co-ed Sand Volleyball Tournament was held May 5 at Pop Harvey Park. The event was a fundraiser for the EJP Memorial Fund, which uses the funds to benefit area youth.

The first place team was Kiss My Ace, which included three former top players for the Parker Broncs’ volleyball team:  Whitney Sharpe, Tahnee Sharp and Sylvia McGuire (nee Flores). The team also included Tanner Vanderjagt, Taylor Troan, and Jose Lizarraga.

Placing second was Five Guys & Fries, a team that included Lena Webster, Tom Webster, Josh Openshaw, Bow Evanston, Josh Openshaw Jr., Julie Cruz and Casandra Sandoval.

Coming in third was Sonova Beach, which consisted of Kaitlyn Humeumptewa, Tallia Robledo, Efrain Aguilar, Zahrah Schultz, Ivan Hernandez, Lane Drennan and Maryam Salazar.

The EJP Memorial Fund and Page Family want to send a special thank you to the Parker community for coming out and supporting the event by purchasing raffle tickets. The event was a success largely due to the community and local businesses donating raffle prizes and services.
