It was time for “going, going, gone!” when the Parker Police Department held their sixth annual home run derby April 27 at Aaron Hill Field at Western Park. Two-person teams were hitting the ball over the outfield fence and all around the field to raise funds for the Parker Police Children’s Christmas Program.

The batters faced Parker Police Chief Clay Romo throwing baseballs into a pitching machine.

The winning team consisted of two players on the Parker Broncs baseball team:  Este Andrade and Danny Durham. A total of 23 of their 30 hits were out of the park for home runs. They each received a $100 gift card.

The second place team featured Jim Beaver and Stosh Hoover. They hit 14 home runs of their total of 30 hits. They each received a $50 gift card from Buffalo Wild Wings.

In addition to the home run derby, there were raffles for prizes, including stays at resorts. The Parker Police Department thanked everyone who participated or donated prizes for the raffles.
