Tube Float

The Parker Tube Float is set for Aug. 1. The event has created one of the biggest summer weekends in the Parker area. While many visitors come to Parker for the float, many locals participate as well, like this group from Parker at the 2019 float.

The annual Parker Tube Float is less than two months away. It’s scheduled for Aug. 1, 2020, and you won’t want to miss the 43rd annual event on the Colorado River.  This is a popular event and a major fundraiser of the Parker Regional Chamber of Commerce and Tourism.  The theme this year is “This Floats for You.” The float will be starting at 8 a.m. from the Buckskin Mountain State Park with participants floating down the Parker Strip to Pirate’s Den Resort at La Paz County Park.

Along the way, you will pass Sundance Saloon, Fox’s Resort and Roadrunner Bar and Grill. Pirate’s Den Resort hosting the After Party with music and an inviting atmosphere to enhance your float experience.

Tube Float entry fee is $25.00 per person and we strongly suggest that you pre-register online at www.parkerfun.com or visit the Parker Visitor’s Center located at 1217 S. California Ave in Parker. If you wait to register the day of the event, the entry fee will be $40.00.  In addition to registration, you can find the tube float rules on the chamber’s website.

All participants must have a wristband.  Wristbands will be available for pick up prior to the event or the morning of at La Paz County Park.  Life jackets are required. There will be no personal vehicles admitted into Buckskin Mountain State Park.  Parking only will be at La Paz County Park for a small fee of $10.00 and a shuttle will transport all participants and deflated floats to the starting line. We will have air compressors on site at Buckskin Mountain State Park.  The last shuttle bus will leave La Paz County Park at noon.

Fluzzle Tube has been a past sponsor of our event, but this year they are making things a little easier.  If you enjoy the ease of show up and play, no stress, we have partnered with Fluzzle Tube and you can purchase interlocking tubes and coolers from them (link on our website) and they will have aired up and ready for you the morning of at the starting line.  No fuss, no ropes, no problem.  Just show up and go.  Their tubes come in many different colors and range from $30 - $40.

If you are not registered yet, you still have time to do so.  Grab your friends, floaties, life jacket, sunscreen, hat and water to enjoy a day of fun in the sun.
