The Parker Broncs baseball team had another rough week as they dropped two games to one of their 3A West rivals, the Wickenburg Wranglers. The Broncs lost 10-0 April 20 in Parker. In that game, Wranglers’ pitcher Drake Mattney gave up just two hits.
That loss was followed by another loss April 23, this time by 11-1, in Wickenburg. The game was called after five innings. On the Arizona Interscholastic Association website, Azpreps365.com, the overall listing of Parker’s scores shows the Broncs won this game. However, the box score of the game on the same website shows the Wranglers won. This was the information on the website as of midday Monday, April 26.
The Pioneer contacted Parker football coach Jeston Lotts, who was at the game. He confirmed the AIA had erred and the Broncs lost that game.
The Broncs are now 1-7 in the 3A West, 1-8 against 3A teams, and 1-13 overall. They have three games this week. They played the Antelope Rams of Wellton, Ariz. Monday, April 26 at home. On Tuesday, April 27, they play the Kingman Bulldogs at home. Game time is 3:45 p.m.
The Broncs will close out the week Friday, April 30 in Kingman.
