Two Parker residents teamed up to ride in the Vegas to Reno off-road race and won their class. Jorge Trevino and Eduardo Panuco rode their 2021 KTM “Red Bull” edition motorcycle to first place in their class at the Best in the Desert Method Race Wheels Casey Folks Vegas to Reno Race, which was held Aug. 10-13.
Best in the Desert bills this as the longest “point-to-point” off-road race in the United States.
Trevino and Panuco’s time on the course was 8:48:28. They won the MC 399 Amateur class. They placed 102nd out of 218 competitors.
Trevino is a racing veteran who has been racing with BITD since 2007.
At age 13, Panuco was the youngest rider in the race. He was the first rider of his age to complete and finish the race, as well as the youngest to win.
Trevino, Panuco and their time want to thank their sponsors, including JAT Farms, Penaloza Farms, Quezada Trucking, J & M Farm Labor, Desert Green Farms and their families and friends.
