The Parker Broncs varsity football team is seen with the firefighter's axe that is the symbol and traveling trophy in their rivalry with the Wickenburg Wranglers. The Broncs won the right to keep the axe for another year when they defeated Wickenburg, 21-13, Thursday, Sept. 15 in Parker.

With two touchdowns from Angel Velarde and another from Thaddeus Nopah, the Parker Broncs nailed down their first win of the 2022 season by defeating the Wickenburg Wranglers. 21-13, Thursday, Sept. 15 at Joe Bush Stadium.

The Broncs get to keep for another year the firefighter’s axe that is the symbol and traveling trophy in the long-running football rivalry between Parker and Wickenburg. The Broncs won the axe last year when they defeated the Wranglers in overtime in Wickenburg.
