Baseball returns to the Colorado River Indian Reservation Aug. 30 - Sept. 1 for the 64th annual All-Indian Baseball Tournament at Manataba Field. The event is sponsored by the CRIT Special Diabetes Project-Recreation Program. Everyone is encouraged to come out and support their favorite team.
Players on a team must be enrolled in a federally-recognized tribe. An official letter of descendancy will be accepted. Each team is allowed two non-tribal players.
The entry fee is $250 per team and is due by 5 p.m., Aug. 21. The entry fee is not refundable, and the full fee is required for a spot in the tournament. Payment must be in money orders or cashier’s checks only.
Checks should be made out to the Colorado River Indian Tribes. They need to be mailed to or dropped off at CRIT Department of Health & Social Services, 12302 Kennedy Drive, Parker, Ariz. 85344.
