Editor,

Regarding the structure fire at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Parker, Arizona.

First off, I would like to thank the first responders, both law enforcement personnel and fire departments, who arrived within minutes to extinguish the fire. The rapid response save our main structure. However, we did sustain extensive damage to the back building where the fire started in the outside barbecue patio area.

We are a second home to many Veterans of Foreign Wars members who suffered a catastrophic fire back in May. We will recover from the damage, but it will take time.
