Peaches to the Parker High girls’ volleyball team. They’ve had to put their season on temporary hold because some of the girls tested positive for the coronavirus. Get better soon, ladies! We need you to tear things up like you usually do.
Peaches to the San Pasqual Warriors of Winterhaven, Calif. They had to cancel their football game with the Parker Broncs because they didn’t have enough players. If Yuma Catholic is the New York Yankees of this region, then San Pasqual is the St. Louis Browns. I’d love to see them become winners at something.
Pits to the Arizona Diamondbacks for their 100th loss this season. The team stinks so bad, Pepe Le Pew is repulsed by them. Chase Field will have to be fumigated.
Peaches to all the commemorations of 9-11. It’s wonderful to see the nation remembers and still cares.
Pits to Cyber Ninjas, the outfit conducting the “audit” of the ballots from Maricopa County. They were supposed to have their report ready almost a month ago. They’re still involved with legal haggling. I wonder what the problem is.
Peaches to Ruperto’s. Their California Burrito with a large Diet Pepsi has become one of my favorite meals from a restaurant in Parker. I also very much appreciate it that they’re open 24 hours a day.
Peaches to all the restaurants in Parker. Now that I think about it, we have some great places to eat around here. I could go on for some time about a lot of them, but I’m afraid I don’t have room here.
