Pits to the La Paz County Supervisors for not taking to task the contractor who did the resurfacing of Highway 72. There are portions of the road work that are pretty good, but a section between mileposts 24 and 28 is absolutely horrible, worse than before the work was done. Typical, if it doesn’t impact the Supervisors, then it just doesn’t matter to them. Bet none of them have to travel that washboard road daily. . . that might be a different story then?
Peaches to the Town of Parker for wanting to make it possible for water users to pay their bills online. It’s nice to see the Town coming into the 21st Century.
Peaches to all the state, county and municipal employees and volunteers who are keeping services going even in the middle of a pandemic.
Pits to the new gridlock in Washington. Excuse me, but while you people in Congress have been bickering and fighting, there’s a lot of things around the nation that need your attention that aren’t being attended to. A little less grandstanding and a little more actual work, please!
Peaches to everyone who tries to help others and improve their lives. We don’t have enough people like that.
Pits to State Rep. Shawnna Bolick of Phoenix and her HB 2070. Among the provisions of this bill are that the state legislature could throw out the certified election results and select the Presidential electors themselves. Seriously, if this is passed, what would be the point of even holding a Presidential election in Arizona? It would be nothing more than a popularity contest. Talk about voter suppression. This bill means your vote for President really wouldn’t matter.
