Peaches & Pits

Peaches to the wonderful people and organizations who donated to the Animal Relief Fund in the name of Phyllis Gormley.  -ARF Volunteers

Peaches to the Parker Unified School District for allowing the use of Alumni Hall at Parker High School for the Celebration of Life for Anna and Claudia Snyder.

Peaches to Anna and Claudia, two teens who lost their lives far too soon.

Pits to the Colorado River Indian Tribes for not putting out information about these drownings and other incidents that occur on the reservation. By not putting out information, they allow rumors, suspicions and misinformation to grow and fester. They are not doing their own members any good.

Peaches to everyone who has made donations or otherwise made contributions to rebuilding of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7061. God bless our veterans! While we’re at it, let’s do the same for the Eagles.

Peaches to all school administrators, teachers, staff and students as they return to school this week. Go Broncs!

Pits to whoever has been throwing rocks through Bobby D’s windows. I keep thinking it would be fitting if one of those rocks ricocheted back and smacked you in the noggin. I’ll bet that would hurt.

We want to know: who do you think deserves a peach? How about a pit? Send your ideas to the Parker Pioneer, P.O. Box 3365, Parker, AZ 85344. You can also send them to pioneer@havasunews.com.
