Peaches & Pits

Single ripe peach and pits isolated on white background

Peaches to the Town of Parker and everyone who participated in the Veterans Day Parade on Nov. 12. It was great to have it back after an absence of two years, and the enthusiasm of the participants and the spectators made it one of the best ever.

Peaches to all the Veterans Day events that gave residents an opportunity to show their appreciation for the veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Peaches to Deputy County Attorney Jason Mitchell for providing that information on conflicts of interest. It was good information for the Supervisors and the public.

Peaches to LePera School Principal and Air Force veteran Brian Wedemeyer for continuing to hand out books for children.

Peaches to Josh Philipps as well!

Peaches to whoever the people were who placed flags on the veterans’ graves at the Parker Cemetery. That was quite a moving sight.

Who do you think deserves a peach? How about a pit? Send your ideas, in 40 words or less to the Parker Pioneer at ppioneer@havasunews.com. You can also send them by mail to Parker Pioneer, P.O. Box 3365, Parker, Ariz. 85344.
