Peaches to the Parker Unified School District on a smooth first week during their return to fill-time, in-person classes. It sounds like everyone is excited and happy to be back.
Peaches to Western Rare Earths for deciding to come to La Paz County, and to Skip Becker of the La Paz Economic Development Corporation for getting them to come here. This mining operation is not just something we need here, it’s something our nation needs.
Peaches to the State of Arizona for how they’ve handled distribution of the coronavirus vaccines. The Centers for Disease Control has praised the state for how it’s getting the vaccines to vulnerable populations.
Peaches to the La Paz County Health Department for how well they run the vaccination clinics. They’re getting people in and out in less than 15 minutes.
Peaches to all residents of Arizona who have worked to bring down the number of new coronavirus cases in our state. We went from 54,000 new cases per week in late January to under 4,000 cases last week. Let’s keep it up until that nasty little bug is gone for good!
Peaches to the Biden Administration for taking up the project to build new railroad tunnels under the Hudson River between New York and New Jersey. The current tunnels were built over 100 years ago by the Pennsylvania Railroad, and they are showing their age. They handle hundreds of trains a day, including freight and passenger trains. The nation’s economy can’t afford for them to fail. New tunnels are overdue.
Pits to the Biden Administration for how they’ve handled the crisis at the border.
