Two people were killed in a head-on collision Friday, Oct. 4, between a pick-up truck and a commercial truck on State Route 95 near Parker.

The two people in the pick-up, driver Richard Charles Will, 83, of Salome and passenger Tina Y. Will, 58, also of Salome, were killed in the crash.

The accident occurred at approximately 11:35 p.m. Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman Bart Graves said the Ford pick-up was traveling south when it crossed the center line and collided head-on with a Volvo commercial truck that was headed north. The Volvo came to rest blocking the southbound lane. The highway was closed for several hours for the investigation and so debris could be removed.

Graves said the driver and passenger in the Volvo truck were uninjured.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
