There’s a new wireless service in the Parker area. Cricket Wireless held their grand opening and ribbon cutting Tuesday, Sept. 6 at their new office at 147 W. Riverside Drive in Parker. They’re in the Moovalya Plaza Shopping Center.
The event was sponsored by the Parker Regional Chamber of Commerce & Tourism. The Chamber’s Lilian Perez served as Master of Ceremonies.
There were several speakers at the event. The Moovalya Plaza is an enterprise of the Colorado River Indian Tribes, and CRIT Chairwoman Amelia Flores thanked them for coming to Parker, and for having their office in the shopping center.
La Paz County District 2 Supervisor Duce Minor and Parker Town Council Member Randy Hartless also spoke at the grand opening. Both thanked Cricket for coming to Parker and providing area consumers with more choices.
The office’s manager, Breanna Alvarez, said they have a variety of items they sell there, including cell phones and wireless phone service. They offer lower rate phone plans, and a quality 5G network. She said Cricket operates their wireless service via AT&T’s towers.
Alvarez offered an example of one of their plans. For $60 month, she said, one could get unlimited calls, texts and data, as well as HBO Max.
