The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service will be hosting its annual Friends and Family Fun Day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 13. The Bill Williams River National Wildlife Refuge invites families to join them for a day of fun and education.
Among the activities available on that day will be:
Viewing waterfowl through a spotting scope.
Go on a nature hike guided by our refuge biologist.
Learn to shoot a bow and arrow at our instructor-led archery range.
Enjoy a free day fishing at one of our four fishing docks (bring your own equipment or borrow ours).
Learn from the experts about the resources on the refuge.
To reach the refuge from Parker, head north on State Route 95 for 18 miles until you reach the turnoff at Milepost 161. Turn left (towards the river) to reach the refuge.
