The month of April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and Colorado River Regional Crisis Services is inviting everyone for a special walking event, Walk Teal Lemon-Aid from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, April 23.

The walk will start and end at Pop Harvey Park. It will be one mile in length, and all one has to do is follow the clues that mark the trail. All ages are welcome. Face masks, social distancing, and other coronavirus mitigation actions are encouraged.

Teal is the color for sexual assault awareness, and everyone is encouraged to wear teal for this event. Crisis Services will be giving out prizes for best teal walking attire, wackiest teal attire, and much more.

At the end, there will be lemonade, trivia games, and a table of information about sexual assault for victims, survivors and their families.

For more information, call Crisis Services at 928-669-8620.
