A large crowd descended on Western Park Saturday, April 16, for Easter fun with the Town of Parker’s Easter Eggstravaganza. The event was organized by the Town of Parker’s Parks & Recreation Committee.

The highlight was an Easter Egg hunt for children. There were actually three of them, separated by age group. The youngsters were scrambling madly for the plastic eggs laid out on the grass of the park.

In addition to the Easter Egg hunts, there were activities and games for children, like an egg-decorating contest and a sidewalk chalk drawing contest. There were also informational booths from local agencies. Of course, the Easter Bunny was present, and children of all ages could have their photo taken with him.

This was the second Eggstravaganza. The first was held in 2019. This was meant to be an annual event, but it was cancelled in 2020 and ’21 by the coronavirus pandemic.

Jennifer Aspa of the Parks & Recreation Committee said she was very happy with the turnout and the community response.
