There will be more lane restrictions this week on State Route 95 north of Parker. The Arizona Department of Transportation said motorists should expect heavy traffic and delays. Contractors will be working on the intersection of SR 95 and Riverside Drive/ Beacon Road Wednesday, June 26 and Monday, July 1. The work hours will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
ADOT said contractors will be painting crosswalks and working on guardrails. The intersection is known locally as the Lakeside Traffic Light.
During the work, SR 95 will be narrowed to one lane in each direction. The speed limit will be reduced to 35 mph, and flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone.
This work is part of an ongoing project to improve SR 95 north of Parker. The full project is scheduled to be completed by Fall 2019.
