The Arizona Department of Transportation is advising commercial vehicles and others to plan ahead for lane restrictions on Interstate 10 at the Ehrenberg Port of Entry beginning Monday, Dec. 9.

ADOT said contractors are scheduled to install electrical components and software. The work is part of a statewide truck screening improvement project. It’s part of the same project ADOT is working on at the Parker Port of Entry this week.

The following restrictions will occur at the Ehrenberg POE from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. beginning Monday, Dec. 9, and ending Friday, Dec. 20.

  • Eastbound I-10 will be narrowed to one lane between milepost 3 and Ehrenberg POE.
  • A 16-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.

The Ehrenberg Port of Entry is the busiest in the state. It sees an average of more than 5,000 vehicles per day.
