La Paz County School Superintendent Jacque Price is making public notice of the opportunity for residents to apply to serve as a member of the following School District Governing Boards:
Bicentennial Union High School District No. 76: One (1) position.
Wenden Elementary School District No. 19: One (1) position.
Each board position runs through Dec. 31, 2022. The position will appear on the General Election Ballot in Nov. 2022, as a regular four-year term, unless otherwise noted at the time of the election.
Each District is governed by a five-person board. Bicentennial Board members attend one regularly scheduled Board meeting per month (Mondays) and Wenden Board members attend one regularly scheduled Board meeting per month (Mondays) during the year and other meetings or events, as needed.
Applications may be picked up at the following locations:
La Paz County Education Service Agency, Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Local School District Offices, Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The application process includes a completed application form, documents of voter registration, residency, and notarized affidavit of qualification.
Completed applications must be received at the La Paz County Education Service Agency, 1112 Joshua Ave., Ste. 205, Parker, AZ 85344, no later than 5 p.m., Jan. 27, 2021.
Eligibility requirements to serve on a School District Governing Board:
A citizen of the United States and resident of Arizona.
Be 18 years of age at the time of appointment.
Be a registered voter of the State of Arizona.
Be a resident of the School District for one year prior to the date of appointment.to that district’s board.
Employees of the District and their spouses are not eligible.
