Parker, CRIT and Buckskin Firefighters responded to a fire late Saturday night, Nov. 16, at the Parker Alternative School located at Kofa Avenue and Agency Road. Buckskin Fire Chief Troy Maloney said the fire is under investigation, but added the origins are “suspicious.”

The Alternative School announced on their Facebook page they will have classes Monday, Nov. 18. Students are to report to Room 62 at Parker High School.

The school is described as an alternative for students who perform better in a non-traditional high school environment. They currently have 39 students. While part of the Parker Unified School District, the school is operated by Ombudsman Education Services.
