This is Homecoming Week at Parker High School. School spirit will be at a high pitch as former students come by their alma mater. Everything builds up to the big Homecoming football game against Camp Verde Friday night at Joe Bush Stadium.
The Parker High Alumni Association will hold their annual Alumni Tea and Meet & Greet on from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11. The Wall of Honor induction will take place at 3 p.m., with the annual membership meeting following at 4 p.m. Refreshments will be served by the Parker High National Honor Society.
Alumni tickets to the football game will be available at the Tea.
The Homecoming game will see the No. 2 ranked team in Arizona’s 2A conference, the Parker Broncs, taking on the Camp Verde Cowboys. The Broncs got off to one of their best starts ever as they went 6-0. They’re coming off their first loss of the season, a 41-28 loss to the No. 1 ranked Trivium Prep Crimson Knights Oct. 4.
Game time is 7 p.m. at Joe Bush Stadium.
The Homecoming floats will be paraded around Anthony Marchese Field at Joe Bush Stadium during halftime. The Homecoming King and Queen will be announced in a ceremony after the game.
The 2019 Homecoming Court consists of the following seniors: Hanna Honomichl, Bobbie Esquerra, Victoria Velarde, Thania Fabian, Alyssa Jimenez, Kyle Dyer, Heriberto Dominguez III, Efrain Aguilar Jr., Titus Warner and Justin Viloria.
Prior to the football game, the Parker Broncs volleyball team will play the Arizona Lutheran Academy Wolves Tuesday, Oct. 8 at home. The Broncs’ varsity is 8-2 on the season, and they’re ranked No. 4 in the 2A conference. The freshmen are set for 4 p.m., the junior varsity at 5 p.m., and the varsity at 6 p.m.
