The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for lane restrictions on SR 72 between Bouse (milepost 28) and US 60 (milepost 49) through Friday, Aug. 23.
Contractors are scheduled to continue final striping. The work is part of a pavement rehabilitation and intersection improvement project on SR 72 to the US 60 junction.
The following restrictions will occur from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Friday, Aug. 23.
- SR 72 will be reduced to a single lane between Bouse (milepost 28) located west of the Joshua Drive intersection and US 60 (milepost 49).
- Motorists should anticipate a 5-mile lane restriction while crews progress through the work zone for striping.
- Flaggers and a pilot truck will direct motorists through the work zone.
- A 10-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.
Allow extra travel time and plan for delays while construction is underway. ADOT reminds drivers to obey posted speed limits and traffic control devices and use caution around construction personnel and equipment.
