On Aug. 19, 2020 at 10:30 a.m., the Colorado River Indian Tribes Police Department responded to a body that was found in the 500 block of South California Ave. The Bureau of Indian Affairs (“BIA”) was contacted to respond at approximately 11:53 a.m. and the BIA agent arrived one hour later. The body was removed and taken to Parker Funeral Home and then transported to Mohave County for an autopsy. The autopsy was conducted Aug. 20.
It was determined that the individual was a female, but, to date, she has not been identified. The Bureau of Indian Affairs contacted the Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”) on Aug. 21 and the two agencies are working in conjunction on this case.
