It was Easter fun for families when the Easter Scavenger Hunt was held Saturday, April 3. Participants were sent to various locations around town to get clues before finding themselves meeting with the Easter Bunny at Western Park.

The scavenger hunt was organized by the Town of Parker’s Parks & Recreation Committee and the Parker Regional Chamber of Commerce & Tourism. Due to lingering concerns over the coronavirus pandemic, the town’s “Easter Eggstravanza” had to be cancelled for the second year in a row. The scavenger hunt was conceived as a fun activity that could be held in place of the Eggstravaganza.

Participants could pick up their first clue at the Chamber office at 1217 California Avenue. From there, the locations for the next clues were, in order, the Arizona Department of Public Safety post by the Port of Entry, The Ark Thrift Store at 820 California Avenue, Parker Town Hall at 1314 11th Street, Nova Home Loans in the Joshua Street Mall, Farmers Insurance at 806 Riverside Drive, and Loren’s Classic Barber Shop in the Moovalya Plaza Shopping Center.

The final clues led to Western Park, where children could meet and have their photos taken with the Easter Bunny.

In addition to clues, participants received candy and other treats at each of the stops.
